Keystone Plastics is making headlines for our innovative solutions and commitment to sustainability. From industry publications to online news outlets, our impact is being recognized nationwide.
Keystone Plastics
Keystone Plastics is located in South Plainfield, NJ, at a 66,000 sq. ft. manufacturing facility. It’s a third-generation-owned family business and reigns as the world leader in aftermarket street sweeping brushes. In addition to street-sweeping brushes, we manufacture filament for household and industrial brushes. We believe in reliable quality and strive to make the heaviest, longest-lasting brooms in the industry.
How We Started
Keystone started out as a custom fiber extruder manufacturing fibers for all types of brushes, from street sweepers to push brooms and toilet cleaners. This hasn’t changed; however, we’ve developed our proprietary line of street-sweeping brushes. We have been manufacturing the industry’s replacement brooms for street sweeping and road construction for over 70+ years.
What We Do
The name Keystone is synonymous with quality. Everything is manufactured in our facility in New Jersey: wafers, tube brooms, our patented All-Pro strip broom and mandrel, gutter broom blocks, and wire. Here at Keystone, we encourage our customers to bring their problems or challenges so we can custom-make and meet them so their business is successful.

All-Pro Strip Brooms
The All-Pro-Strip Broom is an alternative to traditional Tube Brooms, providing efficient sweeping, simple storage, ease of disposal, and simplified broom changes.
Tube Brooms
Our Tube Brooms are made with Keystone-engineered bristles and are guaranteed to have more filament, a longer life, more thorough debris collection, and greater sweeping results.
Gutter Brooms
A full line of KP Gutter Brooms is available today for every make and model sweeper on the road. Our Patented Wire has durable spring action, keeping our Gutter Brooms firm, in shape, and ready for heavy-duty jobs.
Wafer Brooms
Wafers are available in two styles: convoluted and flat. Flat wafers have a flat ring and typically are stacked with a space in between. Convoluted wafers have a wavy ring and align, so they do not have a spacer.
Polypropylene Bristle
Keystone’s polypropylene filament is a top-quality, versatile material suitable for various applications. It boasts excellent wet stiffness, flex fatigue resistance, and good bend recovery. POLYPRO® and KEYKORN® are inert to most solvents, oils, and chemicals, demonstrating exceptional resistance to acids and bases. Polypropylene offers a 50% higher yield compared to PVC. While it has limited natural sunlight resistance, this can be significantly improved by incorporating black color.
